registering for the driving license

Introduced by my colleague Lussie, I registered for the driving license at Xinhua Driving School last week. The teacher is her uncle.

There are total 3 tests waiting for me before I get the license. I dreamed a lot about driving in past time and I'm so excited about this. The first test is about the traffic rules. There were only 2 days left for me to prepare for it since the testing date was fixed. I read the book carefully and stayed up until 1am at the midnight. Finally I got the full mark 100, which made me feel that I had gone back to the colleague life. Right now, I'm preparing for the rest 2 exams, during which I'll have 0 distance with the car. I hope I'll get the license before May.

A Foggy Day

It's foggy today, because the rain season is coming. I was standing on the balcony of our office building which is near Shan Lake. I could see Sun & Moon Twin Pagodas peering behind the thick fog. That scenery looked like a Chinese painting. It's very beautiful. In my opinion, rain season is actually a good time for travelling to Guilin, even though it rains frequently. You can see the scenery which is different from in sunny day. Especially visiting Li River, you will find yourself in a fairyland. Don't miss the chance to realize the beauty of Li River.

Leon's 2011 New year tour fist stop -Shanghai

We flew to Shanghai in the morning of 31st Dec. 2010. The weather is very good. We had a sichuan food lunch near our hotel. All the food were cooked together and serve in a big bowl.

The main purpose for Shanghai tour is the visiting of China Pavilion. We did it in the afternoon of 31st Dec. It is said that there only 10000 tourists now. You don’t need to wait in a long queue. You can just buy the entrance ticket(CNY 20 per person) then enter the pavilion.

We watched a circular-screen movie, it is about China’ development after Opening up in 1979. After that we watched an exhibition of Shanghai family’s typical furnishingsin 1960s,70s,80s and 90s.

After the show, we went to city center, many department store will extend their business hour to 2am next morning. There are so many people on the streets and it is very hard to find a seat in a restaurant. We managed to find a small restaurant. We had a stroll on Nanjing Road and Bund.

We visited Shanghai Museum next morning and departs for Yanji.

Happy New Year

It is Feb. 2nd, 2011, the last day of 2010 in the lunar calendar and the Spring Festival starts today. As it's the most important festival, people are busy to prepare everything to celebrate it. My family is also eager to welcome the Spring Festival. I got up early this morning and clean the house. I also help my father to put up a new couplet on the gate as people will use a new couplet every year. On the couplet there are some words for blessing. People wish to have a happy new year.

In the evening, people reunite with their families and relatives and have a dinner together. At 8:00pm, people would like to watch TV and enjoy many television programs which are very colorful.

At midnight, a lot of people, especially the young people, like to set off the firecrackers which are forbidden in urban, because of danger. But they are allowed in the countryside. I live in the suburbs, so I am lucky to enjoy this traditional action. It's very excited outside.

A new year is coming. All of people use their way to celebrate it. I Wish everyone have a happy life and enjoy every day!
