A very special restaurant

Yesterday our former marketing consultant Elise (and her husband) visited us, while she was on a tour through China. Victor spontaneously decided  to invite her/ us for lunch.

We went to a brand new (not even open to the public) restaurant close to the alcohol factory here in Guilin. The decoration of this place was really outstanding: Traditional Chinese furniture mixed with modern elements of western fine dining.

The food, main reason of our visit was also way better than expected: Fresh salad, crispy bread with unsalted!!!! butter and a steak that melted on the tongue.

The feast lasted for more than one hour, leaving us all with a big smile on our face and a big round belly.

While I personally think that this restaurant is probably too pricey for frequent visits, it is definitely the perfect place for a tête-à-tête with your other half.
