Eighteen Ladders Street is made of many steps. This is probably the oldest part of Chongqing. There are many older houses which had been renovated for many times. The locals make the first floor shops and the second or the third floor living places. These shops show all the daily needs of the locals, there are restaurants, tea houses, clothes shops, traditional arts and crafts, barbershops, DVD shops and computer games centers. If you don't mind climbing steps and would like to see the local lives of the old Chongqing, this is a good choice.
