Cherry Blossoms Brighten Qingdao

The blooming season of cherry blossom is coming, which reminds me my Cherry Blossoms Tour to Qingdao last year. There are totally more than 20000 cherry trees in Qingdao, majority of them planted in the Zhongshan Park. The Cherry Blossoms Festival is hold in the Zhongshan Park from the middle period of April to the early period of May every year. Tens of thousands of visitors flock to the Zhongshan Park to see the cherry blossoms in full blooming, most of which bloom for just a couple of days in spring.

As our arrival at Zhongshan Park, we joyfully found that the whole park has become a sea of cherry blossoms. The most famous cherry trees in Zhongshan Park are the cherry trees planted by a Japanese man in the year 1914, which blooming along both sides of the Chery Blossoms Road. The Cherry Blossoms Road just faces in main entrance, stretching more than 1000 meters. No visitor here will fail to walk through this road. We roamed on it, as if we were in the fairyland. The branches of the cherry trees on both sides of the road extend above the road overlapping each other which seems like pink clouds. The whole road looks like the Milky Way on earth. So a local saying goes: Raising his head, he only can see the cherry blossoms instead of the sky when walking on the Cherry Blossoms Road. The petals of cherry blossoms flutter down when soft spring wind blows. Our mood was immediately brightened.

There are various kinds of entertainment on show during the Cherry Blossoms Festival, such as exhibition, acrobatics and shows, which adds the Cherry blossoms Festival’s charm.

We had a picnic under a great cherry tree with the white and pink cherry blossoms fluttering down at intervals. Cherry blossoms frame a sunset view of the Zhongshan Park. The blooming of the pink and white blossoms heralds spring's arrival in the picturesque coastal city. I suddenly realized that the pronunciation of “cherry” is close to that of “cherish”, and the blossoms' short but beautiful blooming time just is a symbol for the evanescence of human life. We should cherish every good thing in our life and do more things that we want to do. Don’t wait to get only regret.
