Tank LoftㆍChongqing Contemporary Art Center

I returned to Chongqing for Chinese Spring Festival holiday in January, I learned the name" Tank Loft "from a magazine on the bus to airport, like 798 in Beijng, Soho in New York and M50 in Shanghai. Tank Loft, located on the main street of Huangjiaoping, Chongqing, rebuilt on a used tank-storehouse, it was created mainly by the students and teachers from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. It is a non-profit art organization which serves as a link to maintain relation between art and culture in many respects.
Tank LoftChongqing Contemporary Art Center, as the only professional art organ in southwest China, aims to be an art spot of simultaneity to witness and at once promote contemporary art business in the west part of China through integrating surrounding resources, cultivating local cultural soil, building a platform for international interaction.
It is a pity that I have no time to pay a visit to the area this time as I just learned the name on my way back to Guilin, but I believe it will be a very interesting place for the people who love arts. Please add it to your itinerary if you travel to Chongqing!
